On 13 May 2025, the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT) collaborated with the Faculty of Law and International Relations (FUHA), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) to organise a University Lecture Series (ULS).
Encik Kennimrod Sariburaja, Director of Research and Publications of SEARCCT, delivered a lecture titled “Terrorism, Regional Security and Diplomacy,” which explored the evolving nature of terrorism in Southeast Asia and the critical role of diplomacy in maintaining regional stability.
Attended by approximately 50 students, the session aimed to equip participants with a deeper understanding of regional security dynamics, while encouraging critical reflection on Malaysia’s role in countering terrorism through diplomatic and policy approaches.
This programme reflects SEARCCT’s commitment to fostering security awareness and resilience through education and engagement with youth in higher learning institutions.
