The Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT), Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, had the honour of receiving SAC Azman Abd Razak, Chief Assistant Director of the Special Branch (E8), Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), during a courtesy visit to SEARCCT.

The visit served as an initial engagement to strengthen institutional cooperation
between SEARCCT and RMP, particularly in the areas of counter-terrorism, capacity-building, knowledge-sharing and public awareness. Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration through joint training, information exchange, and strategic initiatives that support Malaysia’s and the region’s efforts in counter-terrorism and preventing and countering violent extremism (PCVE).

SEARCCT looks forward to deepening its collaboration with the E8 Special Branch in advancing both national and regional counter-terrorism and PCVE objectives,
reinforcing a whole-of-government approach in addressing evolving security threats.
