On 5 November 2025, the Director-General of the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT), YBhg. Datin Paduka Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib, led a delegation on a courtesy call to the Sabah Police Commissioner, YDH CP Datuk Jauteh Dikun. The meeting aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between SEARCCT and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sabah, particularly in the domain of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE).
The discussion centred on enhancing future high-impact collaboration, including capacity building, addressing online extremism and radicalisation, and expanding public awareness initiatives across Sabah. This partnership underscores the shared commitment to bolstering community resilience and strengthening stakeholder capabilities to ensure that counter-terrorism and PCVE efforts are implemented effectively, in line with the national Whole-of-Government and Whole-of-Society approach.
