The University Lecture Series (ULS) in Sabah concluded on 6 November 2025 at UiTM Cawangan Sabah with a talk by Ms. Nurul Hidayah Mohd Noar titled “Exploitation of Gaming Spaces by Extremists.”
The session highlighted how extremist groups misuse online gaming platforms for communication, propaganda, and recruitment, while emphasising the importance of digital literacy and responsible online behaviour among youth. Around 200 students attended and actively engaged in discussions on online safety and digital radicalisation.
SEARCCT remains committed to youth-focused outreach initiatives, strengthening digital resilience and raising awareness on emerging threats in gaming spaces, ensuring Malaysian students are better equipped to navigate today’s increasingly complex cyber environment.
